Most of my blog posts will either be scenes that didn’t make it into my books, or, like this one, will be notes of mine that I’ll share with you.
The title of this blog post was almost the title of my first novel. I was already planning my second novel before I had even started the first one. I just had so many ideas floating around in my brain. What follows are some of my actual working notes for what would become Foxy Fah’s Exotic Beginning:
Fah’s exotic dancer mother has taught her well. Fah is just 20 but doing well at the club where she is currently pole-dancing, exotic dancing, and maybe more. She has really taken to pole dancing. Even though she is now working in such a sex-charged environment, Fah is still a virgin. She has been practicing pole dancing so much that she just hasn’t found time for a boyfriend. As she performs at the club, she notices a hot-looking White guy who has been a regular at the club lately. She finally builds up the courage to ask the magnetic, mysterious, and bad-boy-looking guy, named Gabe, if he would like a lap dance.
At some point in time, Fah finally remembers where she has seen this guy: Gabe just happens to be a good friend of her father!
Gabe has lived in Bangkok for the past five years or so. He is thirty-five years old. He has a few tattoos and loves all the sexy ladies that Bangkok, Thailand, has to offer. Gabe is one of those “love ‘em and leave ‘em” kind of guys. He’s lonely and wants a girlfriend but is having a hard time moving on from his bad boy image. Gabe has a soft heart, though — he helps homeless dogs get back to health and finds homes for them. Fah and her parents used to live in a different town and just recently moved to Bangkok. She is remembering more now... In the past, whenever she would go visit her father, Gabe seemed to be there. He is a retired MMA fighter with a troubled past.
It worked out much better for the main male character of the second book to be a retired MMA fighter and so, after more thinking and planning, Gabe became the retired rock star that he is in the book
